Samples
  • autoloops   ( 50 Articles )

Here lies a collection of about a thousand algorithmically generated loops. Some of them are surprisingly good and usable, whereas some are just the expectable mastubatory sounds of a computer churning out what it thinks is the truth.

All sounds are derived from samples (albeit all spectrally processed and resynthesised), rather than straight synthesis, so there are some extremely varied textures between the loops. The samples were picked out from a stash of around twenty thousand, by using an algorithmic and/or random method.

The software to create the loops was written using bash and csound, running on a linux machine.
